Francisco Rojas Ahumada, Chilean violinist, debuted as a soloist at the age of 14 at the Municipal Theater of Santiago together with the Jorge Peña Hen Youth Symphony Orchestra, in the city of La Serena. At the age of 19, he obtained the Andes Foundation Scholarship for studies in Germany, together with the Maestro - Violinist Christopf Poppen.

During the years 1995 and 1996 he won consecutively a series of competitions to be a member of the European Chamber Orchestra, a position he held until 2001. Throughout his professional career he has worked as a teacher at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, in addition to teaching Violin courses at the Richter House in Frutillar.


Currently, Francisco Rojas is Chief Soloist of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of Santiago.
