Semana del Violín 2020 goes online



The Cultural Foundation Chile Violins is pleased to invite violin students from 16 years of age, university students, professional violinists, teachers and instructors, members of orchestras that are part of the Support Program for Professional Orchestras, to participate in the first version of the Violin Week / La Serena 2020.

17th August to 5th September 2020.


Place


Violin Week will be 100% digital, this means that classes, concerts and workshops will be held over the Internet, using platforms such as ZOOM and Google MEET, in addition to publishing its content on our Facebook Fanpage and the official page of the Chile Violines Foundation, among others.

  • Individual Violin Master Classes (technique, style, performance).

  • Luthiery Workshop with Reynaldo Ferrera: Techniques for repairing and maintaining the violin

  • Accompaniment Workshop / Cristina Rodríguez: The relationship between the soloist and the accompanying piano: tips, experiences and advice.

  • Kinesiology / Francisca Jouanne: Stretching Workshop for Musicians. Posture and Study Planning.


Active student applications To participate you must enter the website www.fundacionchileviolines.com and complete the registration form found in the form entitled "VIOLÍN WEEK CLASSES 2020", attaching an audiovisual record with a work of free choice, in addition to your curriculum. The deadline to apply will run from July 25th to August 5th, 2020. The results will be reported via email no later than August 6th.

Registration for complementary workshops During Violin Week, a series of complementary workshops will be held in which all interested parties may participate (limit of up to 80 people per session). The workshops will be held from August 31st to September 5th. To register, complete the online file in the box "COMPLEMENTARY WORKSHOPS". We will send you more information soon. Violin Week is a free activity for all its participants, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage. We look forward to seeing you!
