In 2020, Fundación Chile Violines was awarded its first project by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, “La Semana del Violín”, a training event that would bring together musicians of different ages, from all over the country. The initiative, organized in the city of La Serena, consisted of master classes in technique, interpretation, chamber music and orchestral training, each of which would be directed by established violin masters: Emmanuele Baldini (Italy), Francisco Rojas (Chile) and Dorian Lamotte (France).

 

A changing world panorama, as a result of COVID-19, forced the Foundation to migrate towards the digital platform, renaming the proposal as “The Week of the Violin Online”. More than one hundred individualized master classes, talks, digital concerts, workshops of kinesiology, luthería and co-repetition, were just some of the activities organised during one month, benefitting dozens of violinists, who together with us believed in a learning format that grew day by day.
